Louis Garneau en équilibre
Louis Garneau, an athlete of international renown and an art student at Université Laval, starts his own company in 1983. He puts together his knowledge of the sports domain and his artistic skills to create a clothing collection for cyclists. His clothes are not only practical, but also comfortable. His collection is very succesfull and he decides to make helmets in 1989 before he creates clothing for other sports like ski and swimming. Louis Garneau’s enterprise actually counts 8 factories, more than 425 employees, more than 2500 clients in america and over 20 distributors around the world. Garneau wins many recognitions and prizes in his career, notably the Griffe D’or for the best designer and sportswear creator in 1993.
