Mini’s

Ages 6-12

3D Animated Program / 26 x 22 minutes In development

While a goofy gang of six-graders wait for their school bus, a pea-size alien in a pint-size flying saucer swoops down from the sky, hops out, zaps them with a shrink ray gun and stuffs them into his tiny saucer. Before he can hop back onboard one of the kids accidentally launches the saucer into outer space. Unable to control the alien spacecraft, they hurtle across the sky before crash-landing on an alien planet. Well, its actually Earth. But now that they’re as tiny as a deer tick, it may as well be Jupiter.

Everything in this funky new world is gigantic. A blade of grass is as big as a Christmas tree, a grain of sand a boulder and a molehill a mountain. Even the bugs are big. Ants are as big as elephants, spiders-octopus and bees-bears.

“Welcome to Bug World”.

Finding themselves trapped in Bug World, the kids decide that the only way to escape is to reverse the effects of the shrink ray gun–But how?

Believing that the flying saucer holds the key, they study it but soon realize that unraveling the secrets of the alien spaceship is more complicated then they imagined and that they are going to need help, help in the form of access to a SUPER COMPUTER and the INTERNET.

And since their elementary school is the only place in town with both the kids decide to head there.

Unfortunately their elementary school is at least a mile away. For a normal-size kid, a short walk, but for these Little Buggers—a monumental journey!

To make matters worse, the flying saucer is their only means of transportation and maneuvering the alien spaceship across a treacherous world full of giant insects proves next to impossible. As a result they are constantly crash-landing.

At each new landing they encounter all kinds of strange insect ‘civilizations’. Everything from giant beetle colonies that resemble ancient Egypt, complete with sandstone pyramids, ant slaves and strangely named rulers; to earthworm western towns with mudslingers, saloons and horseflies; or modern bug towns with bug houses, bug schools, bug stores, bug buildings and bug parks.

As they travel they are pursued by a sinister old butterfly named MonZilla who wants to steal their flying saucer.
